MINUTES OF THE MARCH 8, 2022 MONTHLY SUPERVISORS’ MEETING
The Mahoning Township Supervisors resumed
their in-person meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 13, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. which was
help at the Mahoning Township Building.
Chairman, Vito Yeropoli called the meeting to order by asking everyone
present to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. flag.
ROLL CALL was taken by Jean Greco, Secretary. Members present were Mark Sackin, Vito Yeropoli,
and Gary Pezzuolo. Township Solicitor and Township Engineer were also present.
Yeropoli asked for
any guest speakers and/or guests to share their concerns. Residient Jill
Bissett expressed concerns with neighbor’s dog on Evergreen Road. Yeropoli took information to share with Chief
Sipe.
Yeropoli asked for a motion to APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE FEBUARY 1, 2022 REGULAR
MEETING which was made by Pezzuolo and seconded by Sackin with a vote of
all in favor.
Yeropoli made a motion to PAY THE BILLS as prepared by Greco since the last month’s
meeting. The motion was seconded by Pezzuolo
with a vote of all in favor. Yeropoli
made a motion to PAY THE PAYROLLS as
prepared by Greco since the last month’s meeting. The motion was seconded by Sackin with a
vote of all in favor.
TOWNSHIP REPORTS were given as follows:
ZONING
by Greco – 1 new home. Dave Rogers had
nothing to share for PLANNING. No
reports were given for fire or police.
Sackin made a reminder of THE
ANNUAL SPRING CLEANUP for the 2 weeks Monday, April 19 – Saturday, April 30,
2022.
Yeropoli asked for
discussion for any UNFINISHED BUSINESS in which Sackin noted the crew would begin
patching
Yeropoli
asked for discussion on any NEW
BUSINESS in which RESOLUTION 2022 – 01 was brought up for a statewide local share
assessment of $1 million for sanitation in which New Castle Engineers, Gregg
DePrincipe, would apply for the Township.
Yeropoli made a MOTION which was seconded by Pezzuolo and a vote of all in favor.
Yeropoli asked for further
discussion. Ed Klamer asked about paving
grants in which Yeropoli noted matching funds possibly being available through
Liquid Fuels moneys from the county in the amount of $40,000.
There being nothing further, at 6:14
p.m., Yeropoli made a motion to ADJOURN
which was made by Pezzuolo with a vote of all in favor.
